Too much BBQ, too much socializing

Life is great. However BBQ's twice a week, and socializing every night do not a skinny boy make. I've been holding steady, but I don't know when those last ten pounds are going to fall off...

Invited on Oprah

...that's my goal. It would be fun to share with people how to get fit eating what you love. I don't know if it's possible, I don't have anything to sell, there's no book you need, just an idea and a few pointers. Just a silly idea, but if anyone knows Ms. Winfrey be sure to pass on the goal to her :)

Cravings...

I didn't just put on a few pounds visiting family over the holidays, I reignited cravings - through the reintroduction of sugars and white flour to my diet. I was doing OK working through them. I was drinking my shakes, eating my pizza, making my salads, and then... I was given a sourdough beef sandwich thing and a pint of Ben and Jerry's. I happened to be rather hungry at the time, as my cravings were still being tamed, so I thought I could get by having a sandwich, and I love Ben and Jerry's, figured I could put it in my freezer and it would be OK as a treat now and again. Within an hour both were gone. Finished. The whole sandwich, the whole carton. But I am back on track today, and I will be fine, things like that aren't really a big deal, because it is so easy to get back on track, after all it's milkshakes and pizza.

7 pound itch...

Last Saturday, I finally got to the gym for my first real workout in two weeks, and it felt great. I was highly motivated because I weighed in first... 202 pounds, 7 pounds over my low point. My goal is to lose those 7, plus 5 more, to get under 190 by the first week in February. That's my goal.

Hangover cure?!

Woke this morning (New Year's Day) not feeling the best, didn't drink that much, but drank a few different glasses of champagne from different bottles, and I don't even like champagne. Blearily made a milkshake first thing, and now I feel great.
